Notice for Academic Year 2023 Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Entrance Ceremony

Important notice
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) will allow newly admitted students to accompany their parents or relatives to attend the Entrance Ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. (One student can accompany only one guest).
* The parents and relatives of the students, however, will not be able to enter the "Dream Hall" where the ceremony will be held. Please note that the parents and relatives will watch the online live streaming of the ceremony in different halls apart from the "Dream Hall".
In addition, mask wearing by the newly admitted students, their parents and relatives will be optional. This also applies to when they sing the university song together during the ceremony.
On the day of the ceremony, the ceremony will be online live streamed. The viewers will be restricted to those in relation to TUAT only, and the details for viewing will be notified later through the TUAT Web Bulletin Boards(*).

In order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, please be aware of the following.
(1) For newly admitted students, their parents and relatives, regardless of having a fever or not, if you are feeling different from usual or experiencing symptoms such as a sore throat or cough, please refrain from attending the ceremony.
(2) Be sure to use the hand sanitizer prepared at the entrance of the hall when entering the building.
(3) Mask wearing by the newly admitted students, their parents and relatives will be optional. This also applies to when they sing the university song together during the ceremony.
(4) Please refrain from holding social gatherings involving eating or drinking after the ceremony.

Due to the situation of the COVID-19 spread in the future, we may change how the ceremony is carried out, etc. In that case, we will promptly notify through the university website.

* Newly admitted students, please wait in your seat after entering the Dream Hall by 10:10. We will practice singing the university song together.
